Fuel Injector Service FAQs

Why should I remove injectors from the vehicle to clean them when I can do it without removal?

The process of visual inspection, ultrasonic cleaning, and testing for spray patterns and volume is the only accurate, reliable and guaranteed way to insure that a fuel injector is working properly. Our system is 100% verifiable. With our manufacturer approved, computer controlled cleaning and testing equipment, we can restore dirty, clogged or leaking fuel injectors to operate at the same level as a new fuel injectors.

Injectors are tested to see if they function properly: their flow rate is measured, fuel spray pattern checked and impedance tested. Next they are cleaned and back-flushed, and serviceable parts such as o-rings, seals and pintle caps are replaced. Each fuel injector is then re-tested. When multiple injectors are provided, they are also checked against one another to insure they match in performance.

I know that one injector is bad. Can I just change the bad one and continue driving the car?

We recommend removing all the injectors for flow testing, which cannot be done on the vehicle. Unless all injectors are clean, and delivering the proper amount of fuel and correct spray pattern, replacing one bad injector may not completely resolve the issue.
